Mitlo

Terms of use

Last updated: 25 October 2026

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the Mitlo app and its services, provided by Yazdan Bayatishemsaki, see the imprint ("we"). By creating an account or signing in, you accept them.

2. What Mitlo does

Mitlo helps a household keep track of shared expenses, payments between members, shopping lists, chores and receipts, with an AI assistant and receipt scanning. Mitlo is currently free of charge.

Mitlo does not move money. It only records who paid what and who owes whom. When you pay someone, for example via PayPal or bank transfer, the payment happens outside Mitlo, between you and that person. Recording a payment in the app does not prove that it was made.

3. Account

4. Households and your content

5. AI features

6. Fair use

Do not misuse the app. In particular, do not attack or overload it, bypass its limits or security, access other people's data, or use it in automated ways it was not built for. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, we may block or delete your account. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Mitlo running reliably, but cannot guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. We may change, extend or reduce features. We may end the service with reasonable notice, at least 30 days. Before it ends, you can download your data in the app.

8. Liability

Mitlo is provided free of charge. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise our liability is excluded, as far as the law allows. Liability under the German Product Liability Act is not affected.

The figures in the app depend on what members enter. Check important amounts yourself.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when features or the law change. We will inform you in the app before important changes take effect. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

10. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country where you live. If one provision is invalid, the rest remain in force.

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
